Lady Montague - a play written by Retiree Duncan Hopper
Tickets now available via the Box Office.
This is not a formal Retiree organised event.
You are invited to meet Lady Montagu, one of the most remarkable women of the eighteenth century. A celebrated write, poet, traveller and feminist, she corresponded with the Pope and Walpole. Using her own words, the play follows her elopement and travels in the Ottomon Empire and Italy. This dramatisation of her life and loves uses music from her time and stars the actor and singer Samantha Brennan.
Lady Montagu has been performed at both the Brighton and Edinburgh Festivals where Vera Brozzoni, International Theatre critic, said "A thoroughly enjoyable evenings entertainment". Follow this link for tickets
